This is a little different and against the grain but it might be cool if you maybe even took the Victorian out of it and had some futuristic steampunk that was also functional. So, for instance, Apple or someone could make a phone that was clean and contemporary yet with steampunk accents. It doesn't have to have gears, but that might be cool, or maybe a phone made of a brushed brass look, with small screws as accents and the user interface and icons could be all types of steampunk looks.
